The Book of Oracles attributed to Rabbi Chaim Vital (1543–1620), the foremost disciple of the Ari (Rabbi Isaac Luria), represents a singular genre within Kabbalistic literature: a complete oracular system rooted not in human interpretation, but in direct divine address, mediated through the angelic hierarchies governing the twelve constellations and seven planets. Known as the Goralot of Ahitophel, it comprises 256 questions spanning every domain of human concern — livelihood, health, marriage, theft, reincarnation, and eschatology — each with its prescribed liturgy, its celestial invocation, and its divinely guided answer.

Until now, the system has remained practically inoperative: manuscript transmission left questions and answer-keys fragmented, the combinatorial logic obscure, and the procedural instructions unintelligible. This edition presents, for the first time in any language, a complete critical translation with full decipherment — corruptions identified, answer-keys restored, and the casting method rendered coherent and usable. It is at once a work of textual scholarship, Kabbalistic commentary, and practical restoration.
